Beautiful stages to discover Costa Rica in a different way. A tour created by a trekker, for trekkers. Ideally designed for lovers of landscapes, rural tourism, authenticity and sumptuous scenery.
Magnificent landscapes, treks for experienced trekkers, authentic local encounters, time for a break before setting off again. An ideal balance for hiking, ecotourism and trekking enthusiasts.
Hiking, trekking and discovery – that’s what this tour has in store for you. You’ll have the privilege of discovering: the Pacuare Reserve – the Tortuguero of non-tourists – whose ecosystem is the same as that of Tortuguero, while retaining its authenticity. Then Turrialba and finca Monteclaro, for a rafting trip down the mythical Rio Pacuare.
Then on to the village of Providencia and its waterfalls, where a warm-up will prepare you for the rest of the hikes. Next, the off-the-beaten-track Chirripo awaits you with an exclusive trek (Cerro Uran – 2160 m ascent). A short break towards the South Pacific will allow you to discover the Sierpe mangrove and enjoy the beaches.
Finally, you’ll join the Leona lodge for a day’s trek in Corcovado Park and a night tour, as not exploring Costa Rica’s nightlife means missing out on 60% of the wildlife.

With a population of 1,500,000, San José is a cosmopolitan city that may be a little confusing at first, but you’ll soon fall under the spell of this constantly bustling city. It is a sanctuary for leatherback turtles, and the reserve’s aim is to observe and conserve this endangered species. The nesting season for leatherback turtles runs from March to June, and for green turtles from June to September. From May onwards, thousands of hatchlings can be seen heading out to sea.
A freshwater lagoon also shelters a small island where the agami heron comes to breed. This is one of the few accessible sites in the world.
