IP Tracking, what is it?

Airlines and online flight comparison sites use a system called IP TRACKING, which tracks your flight searches and then displays higher fares than before to encourage you to buy.
To avoid this, here are some solutions depending on the browser you use for your Internet searches.
First thing to do: update your browser if you don’t do so regularly.

To browse incognito

Configure your browser to surf the internet incognito. These tips will not alter your browser settings.

Safari

Go to the Safari menu / Private Browsing.
You will then switch to a new window and an icon will appear in the address bar, as shown in the photo below.

Mozilla/Firefox

Go to the File menu / New private browsing window.
A new window will open, but there is no indication that you are browsing privately.
However, you are indeed browsing privately.

Chrome

Click on the Chrome menu icon in the top right corner of the browser window.
Select New incognito window.

Explorer

Explorer 9 – Click Tools, then InPrivate Browsing
Explorer 10 – Press the following key combination: Ctrl+Shift+P

When should you buy your plane tickets?

Between 10 and 16 weeks before your trip is the recommended period for international flights.
For Christmas and Easter, it is advisable to book 14 to 16 weeks in advance.
For school holidays, the earlier the better.

Airfare prices fluctuate frequently throughout the day and during the week. Try to buy your tickets on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings, as prices tend to be lower then.

Most other cities require two stopovers, which significantly increases flight times.
