1/ Reservations

The client must notify Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. by email of the reservations to be made.
The quotation previously sent may be returned as accepted provided that no modifications are made.
The client must provide Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. with the first and last names, dates of birth of all participants, as well as arrival (IN) and departure (OUT) dates, flight times and flight numbers.
Upon receipt of this information, Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. will promptly contact the relevant service providers and proceed with the reservations.
Should any of the requested services be unavailable, Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. will propose an alternative or substitute service for the client’s approval.
The client remains free to accept or decline the proposed alternative.
Once approval is received, an invoice will be issued.
For all reservations made within 30 days prior to arrival, as well as during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, a non-refundable deposit by credit card may be required to secure a firm and confirmed reservation.

All our prices are expressed in US dollars (USD), with their equivalent in your local currency based on the exchange rate of the day.
Invoices are issued in USD and must be paid in US dollars.

BOOKINGS FROM JULY 1, 2020

All trips booked are subject to a 30% deposit of the total amount.
The balance must be paid 45 days prior to arrival.

If, 45 days before arrival, the health situation does not allow travel to Costa Rica, we will offer a credit note for the full amount paid.

If the request for postponement or cancellation is not related to Covid-19, the cancellation conditions set out in Article 3 will apply.

Credits issued for Covid-related reasons are non-refundable.

2 / Liability

Each participant must, prior to confirming the booking, ensure that their passport is valid and that they comply with all entry and transit requirements to enter Costa Rica.
Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. cannot be held responsible for any refusal of entry by the authorities.

Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. shall not be held liable for accidents, theft, delays, force majeure events (including Covid-19), illness, or any loss that may occur during the stay, nor for cancellations resulting from the client’s actions or from exceptional or weather-related events.

3 / Payment Terms

A minimum payment of 30% of the total invoice amount must be made to Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L.
A second payment of 30% may be requested in order to spread payments over time.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 45 days prior to arrival.

COSTA RICA DÉCOUVERTE accepts the following payment methods:

• Bank transfer in USD to a USD-denominated bank account.
Any bank fees charged by your financial institution are at your expense.
To validate your reservation, you must email us the bank transfer confirmation (proof of transfer, not the transfer order) issued by your bank.

• Credit cards: payment may be made by credit card via a fully secure online payment platform, in USD.

Accepted cards: Visa – Mastercard – American Express

Costa Rica Découverte will send you a secure payment link allowing you to complete your payment directly on our bank’s secure website.
In the event of a partial or full refund, the refund will be processed using the same payment method originally used.

• Cash payment (USD) on the day of arrival, subject to prior payment of 70% by bank transfer or credit card, and with the prior approval of Costa Rica Découverte.

Cancellation Fees (Partial or Full)

– More than 61 days prior to departure: a cancellation fee of USD 300 per person will apply.

– From 60 to 45 days prior to arrival: 30% of the total trip cost will be retained.

– From 44 to 30 days prior to arrival: 40% of the total trip cost will be retained.

– From 29 to 15 days prior to arrival: 70% of the total trip cost will be retained.

– From 14 days prior to arrival up to the arrival date: 95% of the total trip cost will be retained.

– Once the trip has started or during the stay, no services will be eligible for a refund or credit.

Modification Fees

– More than 45 days prior to arrival: 10% of the deposits paid will be retained.

– From 44 to 30 days prior to arrival: 20% of the deposits paid will be retained.

– From 29 to 15 days prior to arrival: 50% of the deposits paid will be retained.

– From 14 days prior to arrival up to the arrival date: 95% of the deposits paid will be retained.

– During the stay, no services will be eligible for a refund or credit.

The client must notify us as soon as possible of any cancellation due to a flight delay upon arrival or for any other reason.

Any request to modify travel dates will result in additional modification fees.
Failure to pay modification fees will be considered a cancellation.

4 / Travel Insurance

No trip cancellation insurance is included in the invoice issued by us.

However, you may take out an individual insurance policy directly online.

Travel insurance can be obtained from providers such as Allianz Travel, AXA Travel Insurance or Aviva.

5 / Force Majeure

Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify the trip without liability for additional costs, in the event of circumstances that may disrupt its proper execution, including but not limited to epidemics, riots, political unrest or natural disasters..

Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. commits to keeping the client informed of the situation and to providing assistance with the necessary procedures.

In the event that repatriation is required, all related costs shall be borne by each traveler.
