Terms and conditions

1/ Reservations

The customer must notify Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. – by email of the reservations to be made. The quote sent to you can be returned to us as accepted if no changes are made. You must provide Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. with the full names, dates of birth of the participants, as well as their arrival (IN) and departure (OUT) dates, flight times and flight numbers. After receiving your email, Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. will contact the relevant service providers as soon as possible and make the reservations. In the event that one of the services is not available, Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. will offer you a variation or alternative, which we will submit to you. You will have the option to accept or decline. Once you have agreed, an invoice will be sent to you. For the Christmas and New Year period, a non-refundable deposit by credit card may be required in order to make a firm and definitive booking.

All our prices are quoted in US dollars with the equivalent in euros at the current exchange rate. Invoices are issued and payable in US dollars.

BOOKINGS FROM 1 JULY 2020

All trips booked will be subject to a deposit of 30% of the total amount.
The balance is payable 45 days before your arrival.
If, 45 days before your arrival, the health situation does not allow travel to Costa Rica, we will offer you a credit note for the total amount paid.
If the request for postponement or cancellation is not related to Covid-19, the cancellation conditions in Article 3 will apply.
Credit notes issued for Covid-related reasons are non-refundable.

2/ Responsability

BEFORE COMMITTING, each participant must check the validity of their passport and ensure that they meet the requirements for transiting and/or entering Costa Rica. Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. cannot be held responsible if the authorities refuse entry into the country.

Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. cannot be held responsible for accidents, theft, delays, cases of force majeure (e.g. Covid-19), illness or loss that may occur during your stay, or for cancellations due to your own actions or to climatic or exceptional events.

3/ Regulations

You will be required to pay Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. at least 30% of the total invoice amount. A second payment of 30% may be collected in order to spread out your payments. Finally, the balance must be paid 45 days prior to your arrival.

COSTA RICA DECOUVERTE accepts the following payment methods:

Bank transfers in USD to a USD account. Any bank charges incurred by your bank are your responsibility. You must email us the transfer notification (not the transfer order) from your bank in order to confirm your booking.

• Bank cards: you can pay by bank card on a fully secure online site in USD.
We accept the following cards: Visa – Mastercard – Amex

Costa Rica Découverte will send you a payment link that will allow you to pay online directly on our bank’s secure website. In the event of a partial or full refund, we will process it using the same method you used to pay the amount.

in cash (USD) on the day of arrival, subject to prior payment of 70% by bank transfer or credit card and with the prior agreement of Costa Rica Découverte.

Partial or total cancellation fees:

– More than 61 days before departure, a cancellation fee of $300 per person will be charged.
– From 60 days to 45 days before the arrival date: 30% of the trip cost will be charged.
– Between 44 days and 30 days before the arrival date: 40% of the trip cost will be charged.
– Between 29 days and 15 days prior to arrival: 70% of the trip cost will be retained.
– Between 14 days and the date of arrival: 95% of the trip cost will be retained.

CHANGE FEES:

– More than 45 days before the arrival date: 10% of the amount paid will be retained.
– Between 44 days and 30 days before the arrival date: 20% of the amount paid will be retained.
– Between 29 days and 15 days before the arrival date: 50% of the amount of the deposits paid will be retained.
– Between 14 days and the arrival date: 95% of the amount of the deposits paid will be retained.
– During your stay, no services will be eligible for a refund or credit note.
You must inform us as soon as possible of any cancellation due to a delayed flight on arrival or any other reason.
Any request to change the dates of your trip will result in additional charges. Failure to pay the change fees will be considered a cancellation.

4/Travel insurance

ANo cancellation insurance is included in the invoice we send you.
However, you can take out individual insurance directly online.

5/ Force majeure

Costa Rica Découverte reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify your trip in the event of circumstances that may disrupt its smooth running (e.g. epidemics, riots, political unrest, natural disasters, etc.). Costa Rica Découverte – PLAYA MONTANA Y SOL CRD S.R.L. undertakes to keep you informed of the situation and to assist you in your efforts.

If repatriation is necessary, the costs will be borne by each traveller.
