Along the Pacuare River, several lodges have taken up residence. All are accessible only by raft, or on foot for good walkers.

Below, we recommend that you pack for this 2 or 3-day adventure the right way.

What not to forget

You must have a bag or suitcase weighing no more than 11 kg and measuring no more than 21′ x 16′ x 7′. Any luggage exceeding this size will not be accepted by the lodge. All other luggage will be stored in a guarded locker, which you will retrieve at the end of your stay. It’s best to take valuables with you.

Nota Bene: If you leave for Pacuare the day after your arrival, we recommend that you travel with the same suitcase in the cabin.

The hotel will place each guest’s luggage in a separate waterproof bag in a separate raft. You can safely slip in electronic devices, cameras, tablets…

For a 3-day / 2-night stay, bring the following items:

  • 2 shorts (Rafting)
  • 2 t-shirts ou 2 t-shirts anti-UV (Rafting)
  • 1 pair of shoes that fit (Rafting)
  • 1 a pair of hiking boots or sneakers for excursions
  • 1 bathing suit for waterfalls / swimming
  • 1 wide-brimmed cap preferred – The sun is beating down hard
  • 1 sweater
  • 1 light pair of pants (avoid jeans)
  • 1 Kway in case of rain
  • Underwear for 2 days
  • 3 pairs of socks
  • 1 pair of sunglasses
  • 1 spare pair of glasses if you wear corrective lenses
  • Lanyard for your glasses (Rafting)
  • Sunscreen
  • Anti Mosquito
  • Basic toiletry kit (Toothbrush / Toothpaste / Shaving cream / Moisturizing cream) Comb / Brush.
  • Medication, if any
  • Cash : tips and souvenirs (no ATM at the lodge)
  • Books

NB: quick-drying fabrics are recommended

Optional:

  • Waterproof camera (for rafting) or ordinary camera (with waterproof case, for hiking and lodging)
  • Camera
  • Binoculars
  • Headlights
  • Waterproof bag for wet clothes

On your return, on the day of your outing, you can shower and change at the lodge’s operations center. You’ll need to collect your other luggage there.
